Overview
Aims to provide an in-depth understanding of sedimentary processes and the stratigraphic record. The book covers sediment transport, deposition, diagenesis, and the interpretation of sedimentary structures. It explores various depositional environments and their geological significance. Stratigraphic principles, including sequence stratigraphy and biostratigraphy, are thoroughly discussed. Through case studies and practical examples, students learn to analyze and interpret sedimentary rocks and stratigraphic sequences. The goal is to equip geoscientists with the skills to reconstruct Earth's history from sedimentary records.
