Author Bio

Josh Oaktree (author) is the managing director and founder of Oak Tree Comics, an independent publisher where imagination meets environmentalism. His award-winning books for young and middle-grade readers include the Art & Oakie Ask series, Thorn the Unicorn, and The Weird Animal Hour. Aster D'Amico (illustrator) is a queer author and illustrator who has worked on a wide variety of projects from historical biographies to fantasy adventures and loved all of it. She hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, but now resides near Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her works include Amazons Abolitionists and Activists (with Mikki Kendall, Ten Speed Press 2019), The Weird Animal Hour, and Thorn the Unicorn (with Josh Oaktree, Oak Tree Comics 2024), and numerous anthologies from DC comics, Z2 comics, Good Trouble Productions, Margins Publishing and more. She also has an upcoming graphic novel project with Tui Sutherland from Random House Kids.

Haley Rose-Lyon (editor and designer) is a Toronto-born, St. Louis-based graphic novel letterer who began her comics journey in 2016.
