Author Bio

Susan Reimer has always loved the power stories have to entertain, to provide an escape and to educate. From a very young age, books were her constant companions. With a diploma in journalism, she enjoyed a brief career in newspaper before deciding to write full-time. The author of the young adult series Forged in Flames as well as picture books for young children, The Gatekeeper's Daughter is her first book for middle grade readers. Susan is thrilled to partner with Chicken Scratch Books in its goal to produce good literature for kids. She lives with her husband in Northern Ontario, Canada where she enjoys trail hikes, kayaking and finding new books to read.
