Overview
Fossils provide invaluable evidence of life’s history on Earth, revealing patterns of evolution, extinction, and adaptation through deep time. The study of ancient remains allows scientists to trace the origins of species and understand evolutionary transitions. Evolutionary Clues in Fossils examines how paleontological discoveries illuminate the pathways of biological evolution. The book discusses fossilization processes, dating techniques, and major evolutionary milestones, from early microbial life to complex vertebrates. It also explores transitional fossils that bridge gaps between ancestral and modern species. Integrating geology, biology, and evolutionary theory, it paints a vivid picture of how fossils unlock the story of life’s transformation across ages.
