Overview
Communication within and between cells is fundamental to maintaining physiological balance and responding to environmental stimuli. This intricate system of molecular signaling underlies nearly every biological process, from metabolism to immunity. Molecular Messengers investigates the biochemical pathways and signaling molecules that facilitate intracellular and intercellular communication. The book covers hormones, neurotransmitters, second messengers, and receptor dynamics in cellular regulation. It also explores signal transduction in health and disease contexts, emphasizing the interplay between molecular structure and biological function. Through clear explanations and illustrative examples, it offers a cohesive view of how cells communicate to sustain life.
