Overview
Nanomedicine applies nanoscale materials and devices to diagnose, monitor, and treat disease with greater precision than conventional approaches. This book explains nanoparticle design principles, targeting strategies, drug-delivery platforms, and nanoscale imaging modalities in accessible terms. Safety, biodistribution, manufacturing scale-up, and regulatory pathways are covered alongside translational case studies from oncology, infectious disease, and regenerative medicine. Ethical, environmental, and long-term safety considerations are discussed to help readers evaluate benefit–risk tradeoffs. Ideal for researchers, clinicians exploring novel therapeutics, and regulators needing a clear roadmap from bench to bedside.
