Author Bio
Dr. Karen Ang-Manaig is a distinguished educator and researcher who holds a Doctor of Education degree, major in Educational Management, from Laguna State Polytechnic University, Philippines. She is an Assistant Professor II and currently serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Teacher Education at one of the campuses of the same university. She teaches Professional Education and English courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs for Teacher Education. She has also served as a Visiting Professor and Panel Member for Thesis Defense for the Master of Arts in English program at Thai Nguyen University, Vietnam, from August 22 to 31, 2009. As a prolific researcher, Dr. Manaig has published extensively in international refereed and Scopus-indexed journals, earning numerous citations in Google Scholar and other reputable journal repositories. Her research contributions have been presented at both national and international conferences. She has also authored several books on Teacher Education, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field. One of Dr. Manaig's research papers was awarded as the Best Research Paper in the Natural and Applied Science Category during the Research Excellence Awards at the 3rd International Research Conference on Higher Education in 2015. This event was organized by the Commission on Higher Education, the Department of Science and Technology-NCR, the Philippine Higher Education Research Consortium, the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators Inc. (APCORE), and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). Dr. Manaig is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Business and Economic Affairs and serves as a Peer Reviewer for the International Journal on Research in STEM Education. Her research and scholarly contributions are recognized internationally, as evidenced by her inclusion in the Alper-Doger Scientific Index, which highlights influential scientists and academics worldwide. Through her exceptional academic, research, and administrative leadership, Dr. Karen Ang-Manaig continues to inspire educators and contribute meaningfully to the development of Teacher Education in the Philippines and beyond.
