Author Bio
Dr. Santosh Pandey, an accomplished scholar, earned his Ph.D. in Agronomy and has left an indelible mark in the field of agriculture. With a rich research portfolio, he has authored numerous research papers and reviews that contribute significantly to the advancement of agronomic sciences. Currently, Dr. Pandey holds the esteemed position of "Assistant Professor" in the Department of Agronomy at the Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, since December 2012. His academic journey is complemented by a diverse range of experiences: He served as a Field Observer under the NATP (RRPS)-35 Project at Crop Research Station Ghagra Ghat, Bahraich, from June 2000 to June 2002. Dr. Pandey gained practical insights into agriculture as Sales Trainee at Kesar Seed Enterprises Ltd., Uttarakhand, from March 2004 to June 2005. He also shared his knowledge as a Lecturer at the National P.G College, Brahailganj, Gorakhpur, from July 2005 to September 2008. Further enriching his expertise, he worked as a P.D.F./Project Working Assistant at the "Facilitation Centre for Medicinal Plants" in the Department of Horticulture, N.D.U.A. & T., Kumarganj, Faizabad, from August 2008 onwards. His dedication to agriculture extended to roles as a C.D.F. in "DASP" in CSM Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, since March 2011 and as a Pulse Program Coordinator. Dr. Pandey's contributions have earned him recognition, including the Best Paper Presentation (Agronomy) at the seminar on "Innovative and Modern Technologies for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development" in 2013, organized by the Society of Biological Sciences and Rural Development, Allahabad. Furthermore, his mentorship has been pivotal, as he has guided 32 M.Sc. (Ag) Agronomy students and served as a co-guide for 19 M.Sc. students in their thesis work, showcasing his commitment to nurturing the next generation of agronomists.
