Overview
Black History Heroes: Harriet Tubman shows the power of courage, leadership, and character in a dynamic biography for kids.
After escaping the bonds of slavery, Harriet Tubman risked her life again and again to lead more than 60 enslaved people to freedom through a secret network of safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. So trusted and determined, she never lost a single “passenger”—earning her the nickname “Moses.”
Her bravery didn’t stop there. Harriet went on to serve as a scout and spy for the Union Army during the Civil War and later became a passionate voice in the fight for women’s right to vote.
A trailblazer, a hero, and a symbol of hope, Harriet Tubman’s story is powerful proof that Black history matters—and that one person’s courage can change the world.
Black History Heroes shares the lives and inspirations of Black men and women who changed the world, yesterday, today, and for tomorrow.
