Most people believe in God but they are just not sure what that means. Jurisdiction is a discussion between a career cop and a career pastor that brings the realities of life together with God's view of life. Thirteen questions frame the progression of thought:
• What's wrong with us?
• Isn't someone going to do something?
• Is our conscience aware of God?
• What is our natural response to God?
• What about free will?
• Is there really a God who cares?
• Has God spoken to us?
• Does God have the final say in all things?
• How does God's will interact with our free will?
• What is the result of rejecting God?
• What can I do to inherit eternal life?
• How does God bring us eternal life?
• What is the result of yielding to God?

Lt. Jim McNeff (ret.) is a partner and managing editor of Law Enforcement Today. Previous to this he served in law enforcement for thirty-one years. He retired as a police lieutenant after twenty-eight years with the Fountain Valley Police Department in Orange County, California. Prior to that he served the 3902 Security Police Squadron in the United States Air Force,assigned to the 1st Air Command and Control Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Southwest University and graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute as well as the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) course, Leadership in Police Organizations.He authored The Spirit behind Badge 145 as well as Justice Revealed. He has been married to his wife Jamie since 1983. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.Dr. Jon McNeff is pastor emeritus of North Creek Church in Walnut Creek,California where he also serves as associate dean of the distance location site for Master’sSeminary. Before this Jon served North Creek Church as senior pastor for twenty-four years.He also served churches in Cypress and Rolling Hill sEstates, California, totaling forty-three years in ministry.Jon has a Bachelor of Arts in music from Long Beach State University. He also has a Master of Divinity in systematic theology and a Doctor of Ministry in pastoral counseling, both from Talbot School of Theology.He has been married to his wife Anne since 1972. They have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
