In this first volume of a two volume study. In the set, Aaron Benisty analyzes and edits for the first time the Commentary on Tiqqunei ha-Zohar attributed to Isaac Luria (ha-Ari), which has survived in eighteen manuscripts. Benisty argues that the commentary was most likely written by Luria while he was still in Egypt. The first volume amounts to a detailed study of the text and the manuscript witness and the second volume is an edition, published here for the first time.
