Author Bio
Dr. A.K. Sharma started his career as Junior Documentation Assistant at National Institute of Immunology, Delhi and has travelled a long distance of 36 years by servings various prestigious institutions like- two IIMs (Indian Institute of Management Indore & Indian Institute of Management Lucknow) and five ICAR Institutions including one Deemed University and two Central Universities as Librarian. Dr. Sharma is now working as University Librarian at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (Central University with NAAC A++ Grade). He is University Coordinator for Shodhganga and Nodal Coordinator for National Digital Library (NDL). He had been member of Resource Selection Committee (RSC) for E-Shodh Sindhu (2016–2019). Dr. Sharma is recipient of Best Librarian Award (2017) conferred by Library Professionals Association and Ramesh Chandra Vashistha Best Paper Award for Library Herald (2016). He has membership of various professional societies including Indian Library Association (ILA), IASLIC, ASIALA, SLA, AALDI. Dr. Sharma has authored five international books, 25 Research papers and contributed to more than 100 publications in different capacities. He has been associated as member of various Committees of the institution and contributed for the library and Institute administration at various level.
