Overview
Forensic medicine applies medical science to questions of law, injury and death, while toxicology deciphers the effects of chemicals on the human body. This volume explains those intersections clearly, showing how clinical findings and laboratory data inform legal decisions. It presents systematic approaches to medico-legal examination, basic toxicokinetics, and interpretation of postmortem changes. Clinical photographs, flow-charts for scene-to-autopsy correlation, and practical checklists make complex concepts usable for students and junior practitioners. Emphasis is placed on clear reporting, chain-of-custody issues, and ethical considerations when translating medical evidence into legal testimony. The book is aimed at medical undergraduates, pathology trainees and forensic practitioners who need a reliable, practice-oriented foundation.
