Overview
A beautiful jacketed hardback edition of Jane Austen's enduring love story Pride and Prejudice with brand-new, full-color illustrations by Luna Willems.
Considered by many to be Jane Austen's best work, Pride and Prejudice is a sharp comedy of manners centering on quick-witted Elizabeth Bennet and the mounting pressures put on her to find a suitable husband. When the aristocratic, reserved Mr Darcy enters her society, and interferes with Elizabeth's blossoming relationship with the dashing Mr Wickham, both must confront their assumptions about the other if they're to find true happiness. Witty, humorous and ultimately satisfying, this tale of an attraction of opposites has chimed with readers for more than two hundred years.
This beautifully illustrated collector's edition features the unabridged text and specially-commissioned illustrations by Luna Willems. Whether you're approaching Pride and Prejudice for the first time, or want to experience it afresh with new illustrations, this collectible edition is perfect for any lover of classic literature.

Author Bio
Jane Austen was an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction set among the gentry have earned her a place as one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in English literature. Born in Steventon rectory on 16th December 1775, her family later moved to Bath and then to Chawton in Hampshire. She wrote from a young age and Pride and Prejudice was begun when she was twenty-two years old.
Luna Willems is a freelance illustrator living in the quaint city of Ghent, Belgium. A blossoming love for writing led her to pursue a master's degree in German and English literature and linguistics at Ghent University. During her studies she rediscovered her love for fairytales and medieval imagery, eventually devoting all of her free time to illustration. Inspired by medieval manuscripts, golden age illustration and the pre-Raphaelites, Luna has curated a whimsical, vibrant style that evokes the magic of old storybooks, allowing viewers a look into her Romantic (with capital R!) and perhaps slightly unsettling inner world.
