Overview

Thomas Sniegoski (author of the bestselling The Fallen series of novels), and Jeannine Acheson (co-author of Vampiverse comics) bring the world of Constance Evermore to Bad Hand Books in a dark-fantasy novella. Fully illustrated by Thomas Brown.

Destined to become the the next magical shaman of The Hiraeth (a world that existed before our own), Constance (then known as Nira) assumed the role with a certain cockiness. And it was this cockiness, and yes--arrogance--that was her downfall, as well as the downfall of The Hiraeth.

Imbued with the spirits of those whose lives were extinguished when her world was wiped away, she becomes nearly immortal. And with that immortality comes a mission: to atone for her failures by seeking out and destroying evil as it takes root in the new world.

Can Constance, aided by her familiar, Kaw, (a strange creature that combines fox and raven), overcome her mistakes and usher in an era of light—or will her bitterness force her to surrender to the Grande Dark?
