Overview

This officially licensed INDYCAR alphabet book is the perfect guide to American open-wheel racing for kids who love speed and parents who love the Indy 500

Introduce your young race fan to IndyCar and the legendary Indy 500, one letter at a time. Written by Andy Amendola and illustrated by Wei Ren, this officially licensed IndyCar hardcover picture book brings 32 vividly illustrated pages of real racing traditions, STEM concepts, and iconic Indy 500 moments to life for kids ages 4–8.

Each letter introduces a key IndyCar concept drawn from real racing history and tradition — from "B is for Brickyard" and "K is for Kiss the Bricks" to "M is for Milk" and "G is for G-Forces." Kids discover the people and teams behind the sport through entries like "E is for Engineers" and "S is for Safety Team," building racing vocabulary alongside genuine STEM knowledge. A free downloadable scavenger hunt activity is included.

Author Bio

Andy Amendola is the founder of Red Racer Books, a proud Hispanic American, and a dad of two. He discovered his love for motorsports later in life and wanted to share that excitement with his kids through books. When he realized there were very few children's books about motorsports, Andy set out to write his own.

Today, Andy continues to create stories for Red Racer Books while collaborating with writers, drivers, racing insiders, and illustrators to bring racing-inspired ideas to life. He lives just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, children, and their speedy pup, Skye.
