Overview

Two pups. Two very different worlds. One big idea that changes everything.

Meet Shmoo, a glitter-loving goldendoodle from New Jersey who believes every problem can be solved with bows, sparkle, and a fabulous makeover. Meet Ozzie, a mud-loving dalmatian from Oklahoma who feels most at home racing through the woods and digging up fun. When their dads are elected to the Dog Congress in Washington, D.C., both pups move to the big city.

At first, Shmoo and Ozzie have nothing in common. Fluff vs. spots. Spa days vs. mud baths. Tea parties vs. chaos. Friendship seems impossible…until their favorite dog park is about to close. When separate plans fail, the two pups discover that working together is the only way to save what they love. With teamwork, courage, and a trip to the Capitol, Shmoo and Ozzie learn that differences don’t divide us—they make us stronger.

This heartwarming, funny picture book introduces big ideas like friendship, cooperation, and civic engagement in a playful, age-appropriate way. Great for ages 4–8, classrooms, and families who believe kindness and collaboration (and some glitter and mud!) can change the world.
