Author Bio

Ashley Newgarden combines her performing arts background with an insider's perspective on the racing world as the wife of two-time Indy 500 champion Josef Newgarden. She co-authored Josef's Big Dream before creating her own debut book, Goodnight Racetrack. As a mother and creative voice in the IndyCar community, she brings authentic racing family experiences to children's literature designed for the youngest fans.

Andy Amendola is the founder of Red Racer Books, a proud Hispanic American, and a dad of two. He discovered his love for motorsports later in life and wanted to share that excitement with his kids through books. When he realized there were very few children's books about motorsports, Andy set out to write his own.

Today, Andy continues to create stories for Red Racer Books while collaborating with writers, drivers, racing insiders, and illustrators to bring racing-inspired ideas to life. He lives just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, children, and their speedy pup, Skye.

Josef Newgarden is a two-time Indianapolis 500 champion and one of IndyCar's most accomplished drivers. Racing at speeds over 230 mph on America's biggest stages, he understands the dedication, setbacks, and perseverance required to achieve seemingly impossible goals. He channels these experiences into children's literature that inspires young fans to dream big.
