Author Bio
Dr. Sharon Kangisser Cohen is the Editor-in-Chief of Yad Vashem Studies and the Director of the Eli and Diana Zborowski Center for the Study of the Aftermath of the Holocaust at Yad Vashem's International Institute for Holocaust Research. Formerly Director of the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People, she holds a PhD from Hebrew University in the field of Holocaust Studies. She has published numerous articles relating to the postwar lives of Holocaust survivors and rehabilitation after trauma.
Prof. Nathan Cohen is Professor in the Faculty of Jewish Studies in in the Department for Hebrew Literature and the Literature of Jewish languages at Bar Ilan University where he teaches and researches Yiddish literature and cultural history of Eastern European Jews in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the Holocaust period. He received all his degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His scholarship focuses on the history of Yiddish culture in 19th and 20th century Eastern Europe and on modern Yiddish literature.
