Overview
The series The Encyclopedia of the Righteous among the Nations contains the personal stories of each of the man and women who risked their own and their families' lives to rescue Jews during the Holocaust, divided by countries. Each entry includes descriptions of the original contact; aid extended; dangers and risks faced by rescuer at the time; availability of evidence from the rescued persons; and other relevant data authenticating each unique story. The Encyclopedia presents moving accounts of some of the most heroic acts of our time, and a fitting tribute to the men and women who performed them. Yad Vashem's ambitious documentary project on the Righteous among the Nations during the Holocaust includes seven titles in ten volumes - Belgium, France, Holland (2 volumes), Poland (2 volumes), Europe (part 1) and Other Countries, Europe (part II), and two Supplementary volumes, 2000-2005.
