Author Bio
Melody Trowell earned a BA in English with teaching certification (6-12) from Abilene Christian University (‘04) and MA in Linguistics from University of North Texas (‘07). She has taught middle school, high school, and college English at both public and private institutions since 2004, and when staying home with her children from 2012-2016 she started a photography and children’s goods small business. Currently, she teaches writing full-time at Dallas Christian College, where she also serves as a member of the college’s arts and sciences committee and founder/editor-in-chief of the college’s literary journal. She enjoys Bible studies with her sisters in Christ, tending her cottage garden, diy-ing home projects, and loving on her husband and three children. She has been writing stories and poetry since childhood and believes language is one of God’s most beautiful gifts.
