Author Bio
About the Author: Naomi Bromberg Bar-Yam, ACSW, Ph.D., a social work and childbirth educator, has been writing for 25 years on topics such as parenting, breastfeeding, and milk banking. She received her master’s in Social Work from the Wurzweller School of Social Work in New York and her Ph.D. from the Heller School at Brandeis University. Naomi has four children, two of whom began their lives in the NICU and are now healthy young adults. She is the founding director of Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast and a member of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America. She lives in Newton, MA with her husband, Yaneer. She graduated with honors from the University of Damascus, Syria, School of Fine Arts with a B.A. in Visual Communications and Illustration. While studying, she began working in book illustration, design, and painting, and has participated in many local and international exhibitions. Lina has illustrated over 15 books for international and American writers. She currently lives and paints in sunny Florida with her husband and their two children.
