Overview
This is a graphic first hand account of some of the joys and sorrows, the tasks and toils of missionary work in south east Congo and north east Zambia in recent times. From the turbulent years towards the end of the civil war in what was then Zaire, into the relative peace and stability of the Luapula Province of Zambia, the story is one of Robert and Margaret Muir?s experience of the faithfulness of God. God?s promise, ?You shall go out with joy?? has been fulfilled in the many aspects of their service which has covered the maintenance and improvement of a busy rural hospital and an independent school for handicapped children, providing help at refugee camps, and training local people to take on more responsibility in all these areas. Both Robert Muir and his wife Margaret for most of their lives have been involved in the nursing profession, in Fife and in Africa. Their united medical and pastoral efforts in those parts of Africa described here, have benefited many.
