Author Bio

Margaret Tarrant specialized in charming depictions of fairy-like children and religious subjects. She painted and published into the early 1950s. Molly Brett's beautiful depictions of animals and nature have enchanted adults and children alike. Like Molly Brett, Rene Cloke specialized in 'dressed animal' and fairy illustrations for greetings cards. Walter Crane was influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement and endeavored to bring art into the daily life of all classes. He was a prolific artist and book illustrator.
