In this first novel by Korean/Swiss journalist Rinny Gremaud, a woman's search for father, a former US engineer at international nuclear power facilities, provides the backdrop to this compelling personal journey that takes the reader not only into her emotional turmoil, but explores the story of nuclear power generation from its origins in the post-WWII era to the present. With richly descriptive vignettes of the dormant or abandoned sites she visits, from Taiwan to Wales to midwestern United States, the narrator reimagine her father's life on this emotional journey in search of her own identity and sense of belonging in the world.
Author Bio

Born in 1977 in Busan, South Korea, Rinny Gremaud is a journalist and novelist. She is the editor-in-chief of T magazine (Le Temps ) and lives in Lausanne. Her first book, Un monde en toc , (All the World's a Mall) was published in 2018. in spring 2023, her first novel entitled Generator was published by Sabine Wespieser éditeur.

Holly James is a translator( MA in Literary Translation, University of Portsmouth, UK) of French, German and Spanish, living and teaching in England. She has translated professionally for over five years now and has worked with Sabine Wespieser Editions (The Favourite by Jollien Fardel, 2023) and with Semiotexte/ Serpent's Tail on two novels by Constance Debre, most recently "Love Me Tender" in 2022.
