Donald Alexander Mackenzie (24 July 1873 - 2 March 1936) was a Scottish journalist and folklorist. He was a prolific re-teller of myths and legends. Born in Cromarty, he started his journalism career in Glasgow, editing The North Star in Dingwall and the People's Journal in Dundee. From 1916 he was Edinburgh correspondent for the Glaswegian paper The Bulletin. His extensive bibliography included mythology from all over the world. He died in Edinburgh on 2 March 1936 and was buried in Cromarty.
