Author Bio
Laura Baker is a prolific, versatile, and acclaimed children's author. She has written and edited all sorts of different books for children and teens, from fact books and story books to activity and craft-tivity. She has written about farms, castles, rocks and even talking onions! Laura grew up in Canada but now lives in a lovely coastal town in South Wales with her husband, two sons and big basset hound dog.
Lynn Huggins-Cooper is a prolific and widely respected author of young readers' books about science and mathematics, as well as titles covering a wide range of other subject matters. She is a regular contributor to periodicals including the Times Educational Supplement and BBC Learning Magazine. As a qualified school teacher, she has a real insight into how children think, which enables her to make complex concepts appealing and accessible. Lynn lives in County Durham, in beautiful north-east England.
Alex Foster is an award-winning illustrator based in Margate, UK, who specializes in map and children's illustration. He has worked on books for all ages, including adult novels; he has created maps for the Roald Dahl Literary Estate; and he's even designed a clothing line with Hong Kong brand Lane Crawford. His art has been exhibited internationally. In 2015, Alex won a World Illustration Award from the Association of Illustrators, and in late 2018, he launched the map print website Mapsy.
