Author Bio

Lao Tzu (an honorific title, meaning 'Old Master') was believed to be a contemporary of Confucius and the father of Taoism in the 6th Century BC. Many modern scholars, however, doubt his existence and contend that the Tao Te Ching was the work of several authors.

Kahlil Gibran (1887-1931) was a Lebanese-American poet, writer and artist who is the third best-selling poet of all time. His most celebrated work, The Prophet has sold more than 10 million copies in America alone and has been translated into over 100 languages.

This version of Egyptian funerary scrolls is that of the famous and well-preserved Papyrus of Ani, written around 1500BC. Ani was the Royal Scribe of Thebes, Overseer of the Granaries of the Lords of Abydos, and Scribe of the Offerings of the Lords of Thebes. The author is unknown.
