Author Bio

David Isaacman is an actor, performer, and advocate whose story is as inspiring as it is joyful. Diagnosed with autism at age three—after developing differently from his two sisters, his fellow triplets—David began early intervention through the Lovaas program at UCLA, along with years of speech and occupational therapy. Through determination, support, and hard work, he has grown into a confident and expressive voice in the neurodiverse community.


A 2014 high school graduate, David now works in the Human Resources department at Beverly Hills City Hall, where he recently celebrated his sixth work anniversary. He is also a dedicated performer with the award-winning Miracle Project, where he brings his love of music and theater to life.


David has appeared on Netflix in Atypical and the Emmy Award–winning docuseries Love on the Spectrum U.S., where audiences connected with his warmth, authenticity, and humor. As a social media influencer, he shares glimpses of his daily life and passions—including synesthesia (experiencing numbers as colors) and a deep love of wildlife, especially African animals—bringing visibility and joy to audiences around the world.

Bats Langley is a painter, sculptor, writer, illustrator, toy designer, and a creator of many things. Bats is known for illustrating Groggle’s Monster Valentine and Groggle’s Monster Halloween. He recently illustrated the nonfiction biography of Jackie Kennedy titled Jackie and the Books She Loved. Bats is a regular contributor to Spider, Ladybug, Cricket, and Scholastic magazines and has been a frequently featured cover artist.
His artwork has been shown in galleries in New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, Hartford, Providence, and Hangzhou China. He lives with his husband Nick behind the Chelsea Hotel in New York City.
