In the current scenarios globally, a world free from gender gapsis a very distant dream but there are hopes of the times changingat faster pace with the growing technology. This book will coveran analysis of the past and of the years to find out the smallthings that have made the difference and how they can be convertedto a bigger scale. Beginning from the true notions of theterm ‘Women empowerment’, the welfare of women will be studied in detail followedby the needs and challenges of the same. A detailed look into the statistics of gendergaps at work will be examined and their impact on the lives of women will be assessedin various regions.
Margaret F. Bello is pursuing PhD in Development Management with major in Educational Administrationwith a grant funded by the Commission on Higher Education from the Philippines. She has amaster’s Degree in engineering education major in Information Communications Technology and abachelor’s Degree in management information systems and Diploma in Medical Transcription. She hasworked in the field of education for almost 8 years as Department head of the Computing Studies. As aresearcher, she successfully developed and aided in the implementation of programs with advocaciespromoting the welfare of women and children through technology.
