Anne-Lena Michel (b. 1981 in Würzburg; lives and works in Berlin) is a freelance photographer and artist. In 2001/2002 she spent twelve months as an au-pair in Paris, where she began taking photographs. One of the subjects that turns up frequently in her work is the thirteen-year-old girl Léa. The photographs present the teenager striking different poses in a bourgeois apartment, but also everyday moments of childlike abandon.
