Calaveras and Torito is a Day of the Dead adventure that tells the story of a lonely boy skeleton and his skeleton dog Torito. Their favorite holiday is Day of the Dead because on that day, they blend in with everyone else. One day, they realize they've never had their own ofrenda, so they decide to collect items and create a community altar where everyone feels welcome.

Author Bio

Naibe Reynoso is a Mexican-American, Multi-Emmy award-winning journalist and author based in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder of Con Todo Press, a mission driven company that publishes award-winning books that amplify the stories of Latinos and other underrepresented communities. She is the mom of two children, Giselle and Brayden.

Addy Rivera Sonda is a Mexican illustrator, who loves color, learning, and exploring ways in which we could build kinder and more interdependent communities. She is a vegan, and lives in a little micro-sanctuary with her partner, a rescued sheep, chicken, and seven cats! Her biggest inspiration for drawing is that she knows that imagining the world we want to live in is the first step in creating it!
