Overview
A follow-up to the popular Ten Days in Acadia, the book is told from a fictional kid's point of view to interest young people and get them excited about being outdoors. A young girl and her family describe a trip discovering the forests, mountains, ponds, and waterfalls of Maine's Baxter State Park, the Debsconeag Wilderness Area, and the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.

Beautiful color drawings by Maine artist Jada Fitch illustrate field notes of common flora and fauna. Full-color trail maps, color photographs, hiking tips, rainy-day ideas, and other resources on lodging, eating, and travel to and from the area, make this a valuable family companion.
