Hana Smalley is a pharmacist with a passion for optimizing medications for her patients and educating her audiences in the field of pharmacology. Hana has a diverse background in hospital care, long term care, geriatric and palliative care, pain management, and education. With her expertise in pharmacology, she has been working with multi-disciplinary care teams along with patients and care-givers to adjust medications, including collaborating with prescribers to select medications, identify and prevent adverse reactions, and educate medical staff and patients about the risks and benefits of medications. She also creates and teaches pharmacology courses for beginner and advanced levels. Hana’s academic journey includes earning her pharmacy degree from the “Université de Montréal”. She further obtained a doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D) at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, USA. Hana has vast experience as a clinician, a manager and pharmacology instructor. Her knowledge of pharmacology and passion for health makes her an asset to a care team and a key educator for health care students.
