Overview
Zippy is a young, impulsive puppy who is full of energy and excitement. She loves to play and run and explore. Winslow is an older, dignified dog who is more reserved and cautious. He prefers to spend his time reading and napping. At first, Zippy and Winslow don't get along. They clash over everything, from how to play to where to sleep. But as time goes on, they begin to learn from each other and grow to love each other. The dogs' relationship is tested when Pamela and Frank's marriage begins to fall apart. Frank is struggling with alcoholism, and Pamela is feeling overwhelmed by her responsibilities as a wife and journalist. Through it all, Zippy and Winslow remain loyal and supportive. They provide each other with comfort and companionship, and they help each other to see the good in the world, even when things are tough. In the end, Please Write is a heartwarming story about the power of love, family, friendship... and dogs. It is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope.
