                                St. Francis de Sales is famous in the Catholic world for his personality, as well as for his writings and other accomplishments.                                 Louise Stacpoole-Kenny was an author of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Her biography on St. Francis de Sales was originally published by the Benziger Bros., New York, in 1909 as St. Francis de Sales: A Study of the Gentle Saint. The work received the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur upon publication. Ms. Stacpoole-Kenny also authored another biography entitled St. Charles Borromeo: A Sketch of the Reforming Cardinal. Her popularly written St. Francis de Sales was reprinted by TAN in 2002, with additional footnotes from the publisher.
