Positively Purple

PB and Jeli are best bear friends. They play ball together every single day, until the day Jeli gets sick. After the doctor prescribes medication, Jeli begins to feel better but to her surprise, the medication turns her fur purple! Positively Purple explores the power of empathy and friendship in building a child's self-esteem. Self acceptance is a strong theme running through the story, with a clear message that change in your appearance does not change how your friends feel about you.

P.S. Brooks is an illustrator and writer based in Yorkshire, UK. He primarily works digitally using Photoshop. He tries to create an ethereal and dreamlike feel to many of his scenes and incorporates different techniques. As a writer, Patrick also enjoys including narratives into his scenes and creating new characters. Currently he is in the process of developing two original picture book concepts. To date he has worked with publishers in South Korea, America, Australia, and UK.
