Author Bio

Mary Shelley was only eighteen when Lord Byron challenged a group of friends to write the best horror story. She fleshed out her original and this was accepted for publication when she was just twenty. Shelley wrote several novels after Frankenstein but this remains her masterpiece. She died in 1851, thirty years after the tragic early death of her husband Percy.

Kim Ekdahl is a freelance illustrator based in Sweden with Korean heritage. She has roots in game development and worked as a Lead 3D Artist in the gaming industry before deciding to pursue illustration full-time. Working with games made her realize her love for creating unique characters and telling enchanting stories with her art. She particularly loves to draw are strong female characters in magical fantasy and sci-fi settings. When she's not illustrating, she enjoys playing games, reading fantasy or sci-fi novels and taking care of her plants, which are all things that greatly inspire her art. She loves working with bright colors and is always on the hunt for the perfect palette.
