Overview

Sometimes we choose change, sometimes change is thrust upon us.

This is a book that will help you embrace difference - the differences you were born with, the differences between the past 'you' and the 'you' you are becoming and importantly, the differences in those around us.

Livi Deane was diagnosed with retinoblastoma at 12-years-old. At the time, this made her only the second person in the UK to be diagnosed with this cancer over the age of five.

Livi knew she was different as a child undergoing sixteen rounds of chemotherapy. She knew she was different when the treatment could not save one of her eyes and she started wearing a prosthetic. And, when she bravely shared photos of her baring her empty eye socket online, Livi knew she wasn't the only person who felt different from those around them.

Here, she tells her story but also how she has learned to truly celebrate difference, going on to grace the pages of Vogue and other household outlets in her campaigning to really make a difference in the world.
