Effie Missouria Pitchford was born in Beeville, Texas on February 22, 1892. She was the fourth child born to Frank A. and Missouri Bailey Pitchford. She married Webb L. Moore (18 Mar 1917) and had no children. She was librarian for several years at Allen Academy in San Marcos, Texas. She died on April 5, 1968, and is buried in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
